WHO ARE WE
Welsh Border Community Transport is a registered charity that has been serving the county of Flintshire since 1991. Based in our office at Buckley Town Hall.
Our role is to provide on demand community transport facilities in the County of Flintshire and the surrounding areas for the use of elderly and or disabled residents, charitable organisations and other community groups carrying out charitable or caring purposes.
We operate a fleet of specialist vehicles for service users who have need of such facilities because of the nature of their age, infirmity and or disability and or living in isolated areas where there are no adequate public transport facilities.
We offer a large range of different transportation services for both individuals and groups. These services range from essential medical trips to wellness enhancing activities such as shopping trips or health & fitness classes.
Our overarching aim is to provide an outstanding and valued service based on need and desire of our registered service users.
We have a small team of highly experienced and helpful staff who take calls from our passengers and partners then schedule excursions/trips as near to your requirements as possible. The office staff are long serving and know many of our clients’ needs very well indeed. We also have professional drivers who will convey you safely to your destination, these also are long serving staff and have become friends with many of the people we see as regular travellers.
All data we hold is held securely on a custom designed booking system on our computers.
Additionally, we are supported by an excellent team of volunteer drivers many of whom have helped us provide our service for over 10 years and for whom we depend on a great deal in normal times.
Our services are available to anyone over 65 who has a bus pass issued by the local authority. We are also support disabled individuals of any age who possess a bus pass. Our staff will assess individuals needs to be sure we select the correct type of vehicle to make your journey as comfortable and safe as possible.
